7399 N35-1 tin-free self-polishingantifouling coating

7399 is a self-polishing antifouling coating with high solids. The paint film can be gradually hydrolyzed in water at a certainrate due to ion exchange of resin and washed with water toprovide self-polishing. Additionally, the bioactive agentcontained in the coating will be continuously precipitated toprovide excellent antifouling.

Product introduction

7399 is a self-polishing antifouling coating with high solids. The paint film can be gradually hydrolyzed in water at a certainrate due to ion exchange of resin and washed with water toprovide self-polishing. Additionally, the bioactive agentcontained in the coating will be continuously precipitated toprovide excellent antifouling.

Recommended applications

As a self-polishing antifouling coating with high solids, it is suitable forthe substrate surface requiring controllable polishing and goodantifouling effect. it can be used for new ship building and dock repair, with effective antifouling up to 36 months.

Product information

Appearance:Red and brown

Volume solids:64±2%

Recommended DFT:100 μm (corresponding WFT=156 μm)

Theoretical quantity required (100 μm):6.4 m2 /L or 3.8 m2/kg

SG:1.7 kg/L

Flash point:Above 24°C

VOCs:345 g/L

Construction conditions

The substrate should be clean and dry, and the constructiontemperature should be higher than 3°C above the dew point toavoid condensation.

It is recommended to apply this product at <85%RH.

This product can be applied in <-10°C.

Adequate ventilation is required during drying.

During repairing, clean the residual self-polishing or abrasiveantifouling coating with proper detergent to remove surfacegrease. Then wash thoroughly with high-pressure fresh waterto remove the saponification layer with poor adhesion.

During repairing, the use of sealing paint depends on the typeand conditions of residual antifouling coating.

Painting method

Painting methods:Airless spraying

Diluent:102 diluent

Dilution:0-5% of the coating weight, The actual addition may be adjusted according to the field painting method

Nozzle size:0.69-0.79 mm

Spraying pressure:27 Mpa

Drying time
Temperature 0℃ 10℃ 20℃ 30℃
Surface drying 2h 1h 0.5h 20min
Hard drying 4h 2h 1h 0.5h

Repainting interval

The painting shall be made according to the existing hull condition, navigationmode and expected service life, as well as the corresponding painting guide. Thereis no maximum repainting interval, but the paint surface needs to be washed withhigh-pressure fresh water after being exposed to polluted environment for a longtime. In order to use our product correctly, you are kindly advised to read thismanual carefully.

Undocking

The shortest docking time depends on the number of coats, the thickness of paint film, the temperature at that time and the subsequentexposure/use conditions. For more information, please refer to the corresponding painting instructions. The maximum docking timedepends on atmospheric conditions (UV radiation, temperature, air pollution, etc.), Generally,it is okay when it is exposed in atmosphericenvironment for 6 months, But high-pressure fresh water washing may be needed in case of serious pollution-Please contact us.

Film thickness/dilution:Non-recommended film thickness may be used according to the purpose and use area, but this will change the coating rateand affect the drying time and repainting interval. The ncrmal dry film thickness is: 80-175 μm.

Packing specifications:18 L or 30.6 kg

Shelf life:36 months

Safety measures:Refer to our Material Safety Data sheet(MSDS)
