Product introduction and application
Chlorinated Paraffin wax-70, appears as white or light yellow powder or granules with good chemical stability. It is insoluble in water and lower alcohols, while soluble in mineral oils, aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated alkanes, ether, acetone, and esters and is compatible with many synthetic and natural materials. It is resistant to the effects of oxidizing agents, acids, alkali, ultraviolet and has waterproof properties. It begins to undergo slight degradation reactions at temperatures above 170°C, releasing hydrogen chloride and forming olefins and other substances. Due to its nearly fully saturated chemical structure, it has excellent flame retardancy, chemical resistance, solubility, aging resistance, and thermal stability, as well as electrical insulation properties. It is a versatile additive flame retardant. It also has properties such as moisture resistance, antistatic, antisoftening, anticompression, low volatility; it has lubricating and anti-slip characteristics, toughening, thickening, and radiation resistance effects, and functions such as waterproofing, insect prevention, and corrosion resistance.
Chlorinated paraffin-70 is commonly mixed with synergistic agents such as antimony trioxide or pentoxide to form an efficient flame retardant. It is widely used in rubber, plastics, coatings, adhesives, and other products as a flame retardant for conveyor belts, cable materials, fire-resistant coatings, polyesters, resin fiberglass, ABS, polystyrene, polyethylene, epoxy resins, etc. It can be used as a fire-resistant additive for ink and as a modifier in the paper industry. It is also used in the fiber industry as a plasticizer and fabric surface treatment agent, and is expanding rapidly. It is also used to manufacture blended fireproof paints and fire-resistant coatings, and can be used as an extreme pressure and anti-wear additive for industrial lubricating oils. It is used in printing inks to improve the gloss and wear resistance of the ink. It is also used for wood preservation against decay and insects, and as a sizing agent in the paper industry.
