3017 is a kind of epoxy phenolic coating cured by amine adduct. it provides excellent adhesion, superior chemical resistance and wideservice temperature range. The coating can serve in a corrosive condition under a temperature range from ultra-ow (-1969c) to high temperature(210°C).

 

Recommended applications

It can be used for chemical-resistant lining coating, anti-corrosion under insulation layer or in non-insulation areas, anti-corosion in seawateror fresh water immersion areas, and ultra-low temperature anti-corrosion.

Construction conditions

New steel: Sand blasting to Sa2.5 and Medium(G) surfaceroughness(ls0 8503-2).

Maintenance: Remove oils and greases with appropriate cleaningagent, wash away the salts and other dirt with (high-pressure)fresh water, and then locally sandblast or polish.

The substrate must have a temperature >3°C above the dewpoint. The environment should be <85%RH.

It is recommended to paint at above 5°c. The painting surfacemust be clean and dry.

It is recommended to maintain strong ventilation duringpainting, drying and curing.

Film thickness:Non-recommended film thickness may be adopted according to the purpose and area. But this will change the coating rate and affect the drying time and repainting interval, The normal dry film thickness of a sinale coat is: 50-150μm.
